Have an affair

With your other half.  It's actually really fun.

The Husband and I do it two different ways.

Get a cheap hotel room.  Meet for lunch, and have a quickie.  You don't need to get a seedy motel room with rats scurrying in the walls, but just a moderately priced room.  It'll feel kind of naughty, and you'll walk back into work feeling a little bit awesome.

Or you can go the high class hooker route.  Get a room in a hotel that can boast a few stars, put on a nice cocktail dress, and get picked up by your man.  Do it on a weekday, and go your separate ways the next morning.

Seriously, the role playing opportunities are ripe, but if you're not into that, it's still something different and exciting.

We don't do this often, but when we do, it's FUN.

A word of advice though, use one of those travel sites where you can bid on a mystery hotel.  You'll have to plan it a couple days in advance, but it's worth it.  We got a $240 room for $89.

  1. Working from home allows the every-now-and-then lunch time roll. Especially nice on a stripped bed. Then right back to corporate me, with a little bit of him left behind.

  2. Your successful attempts to make a marriage not sound sucky run counter to my pre-conceived stereotypes. Stop it.

  3. This sounds fun!! I have always wanted to do something like this but we just haven't gotten around to it yet =) Nice to hear it's a sexy and fun as it seems

  4. I LOVE lunch time sex! It takes us nearly 20 minutes to get home and 20 minutes to get back and we only have an hour...all we do is have sex, get dressed, and drive back. But, I LOVE the feeling I have the rest of the afternoon when I think "nobody else has ANY IDEA what I just did during lunch." In my new job, we only get 30 minute lunches, so our lunch dates are done. Boo!

  5. That is a brilliant Idea! IF you want to go crazy with it, add some role playing, hair dye and a few wacky items and you are set!

When I get married, this is going to be required reading...every day.

  6. at this point, having the $89 of disposable income would get me going.
